Did you know that you don’t need to memorize all 247 Tamil characters to start reading? In my latest video, “How to Read Tamil in 10 Minutes,” I introduced the Seed Letter Method. This system focuses on high-frequency letters that allow you to form meaningful words immediately.
The Lesson 1 Letter Set:
In this first lesson, we cover the 8 essential “Seed Letters” and 2 key modifiers:
Vowels: அ (a), ஆ (aa)
Consonants: க (ka/ga), ச (sa/cha), ப (pa/ba), ம (ma), வ (va), த (tha)
The Modifiers: The Pulli (்) for pure consonants and the Kaal (ா) for long vowels.
