Google Analytics is a free account provided by Google for tracking your website traffic, visitors, keywords, real time visitors etc. Adding Google Analytics code in your website will help you to study your website visitors, increase the performance and traffic for your website.
Here are the steps:
1. Go to your Analytics account, if you don’t have one click this link and sign up: http://www.google.com/analytics/
2. After you reach the home page, click “Admin” button (marked in the below screen shot):
3. Now, click the drop down under “Property” and select “Create new property” as shown below:
4. After clicking “Create new property”, you will reach to a page called “New Property”. You have to select either “Website” or “App” and fill other stuffs.
5. After you fill the form, click “Get Tracking ID”, you will get a JavaScript tracking code, which you have to copy and paste it into the code of every page you want to track.
